I’ve found that public demonstrations can be a good source for street photographers.  The Women’s March Sacramento 2019 did not disappoint.

I too marched along the entire route, all the while looking for people who stood out in the crowd.  The woman pictured did not have a sign in hand, yet struck me as someone who was confident.  It was what she was wearing as well as how she was walking that caught my eye.  She reflected the purpose of the rally and the meaning of taking to the streets.

Street Photography is like a people safari.  As I walked the streets of Sacramento with my camera at the ready, I always kept my eyes open for the unusual, ironic or poignant.
